Enpower Machite, in partnership with Indawo Yosizo Foundation, proudly visited 8 schools in Bethal as part of our Sanitary Pads Drive & Menstrual Health Day initiative.
The programme focused on:
Distributing sanitary pads to learners
Promoting menstrual health and hygiene awareness
Creating a safe space for questions and open discussion
Encouraging confidence, dignity, and self-worth among young girls
Helping reduce absenteeism caused by period poverty
During the visits, learners participated in menstrual health education sessions, discussions on hygiene and self-care, motivational talks on confidence and self-worth, and a donation handover of sanitary products.
The initiative reached:
• Sakhisizwe Primary School
• Khethelo Secondary School
• Langelihle Primary School
• A.D. Nkosi MST Academy
• Vukanini Primary School
• Mzinoni High School
• Ikwezi Primary School
• Thandanani Primary School
At Enpower Machite, we believe that no girl should miss out on her education because of a lack of access to sanitary products. Together, we can help restore dignity, build confidence, and create opportunities for young women to thrive.
A heartfelt thank you to Indawo Yosizo Foundation, The Local Choice Pharmacy inparticipating schools, and everyone who contributed to making this initiative a success.
