𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗜𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗗𝗦 𝗗𝗢𝗡'𝗧 𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗥?

When pumping wastewater, sludge or other solids-laden media, clogging and wear can be a major challenge.

The SAMCO® CSR Series uses a recessed vortex impeller positioned out of the main flow path. Instead of solids passing directly through the impeller vanes, the impeller generates a vortex within the casing, allowing the pumped media to move through the pump with reduced contact with the impeller.

With solids handling capabilities of up to 140 mm, the CSR is designed for demanding applications involving solids and difficult process media.

The SAMCO® SP Series self-priming centrifugal pump is designed for applications where conventional flooded-suction installation isn’t practical.

Its self-priming configuration is complemented by practical maintenance features, including external impeller clearance adjustment without dismantling the pump and clean-out access to the casing.

With a wide range of material offerings, the SP is also a suitable solution for low-pH sump drainage applications.

Aerated, foamy or difficult-to-pump media can present a challenge for conventional centrifugal pumps.

The SAMCO® CPX / HMX Series uses a Shearpeller design, combining shear forces with normal centrifugal pumping action to handle demanding process applications.

The Shearpeller design enables the pump to handle up to 26% entrained air in water by volume, as well as stringy, fibrous solids, viscous media and difficult slurries. With solids handling capabilities of up to 114 mm, the CPX / HMX is designed for applications where conventional pumping solutions may struggle.

Our Operations team swapped pumps for paintball last Friday for a well-deserved team-building session.

They work closely together every day to keep production moving and ensure our pumps and spares get where they need to be — so it was great to step away for a few hours, have some fun and get to know each other a little better outside of the workplace.

A morning of teamwork, strategy, a little friendly competition and plenty of laughs!

For clients requiring performance verification, SAM Engineering offers in-house performance testing as an additional service.

Our test facility enables pumps to be tested in accordance with ISO 9906 Grades 2B, 2U and 3B, with witnessed testing also available on request.

Testing verifies pump performance against the specified duty requirements — providing greater confidence before installation.

When performance needs to be proven, we have the capability to test it, regardless of brand.

On Saturday, we had the pleasure of hosting some of our valued clients and distributors for the Springboks vs All Blacks at Ellis Park.

Unfortunately, the result didn’t quite go our way 😅, but it was still a fantastic day with great company, lots of laughs and plenty of Bok spirit!

As part of SAM Engineering’s Youth Day initiative, we were proud to support Kids Haven and recently joined them for their Term 2 Awards Ceremony, celebrating the top achievers in each grade as well as those who showed the most progress during the term.

We believe recognising young people for their efforts matters. Celebrating achievement is important, but so is recognising improvement and the determination to keep trying. Sometimes a little encouragement can go a long way in inspiring a child to keep working towards their goals. 💙
