It was an incredible privilege for Lizwe Engineers to partner with Botswana Ash (Pty) Ltd for a comprehensive, 4-Day Pumps Operations, Maintenance, and Troubleshooting Workshop.

Led by our CEO, Professional Engineer Ntozelizwe Benjamin Mqenebe (Pr Eng 20120148), this intensive training was specifically designed for the vast majority of the Botash team responsible for maintaining the critical pumps that drive their Salt and Soda Ash production.

⚙️ Technical Insight: The Hidden Dangers of Poor Gear Geometry ⚙️

In precision engineering, there is no room for approximation. When designing a gearset, every micron counts. While the schematic below breaks down the fundamentals of Addendum (a) and Dedendum (d), it’s critical to understand what happens when these are not refined.

A poorly calculated or unrefined Addendum isn't just an inefficiency; it's a liability.
