His experience in Mechanical Engineering and related fields in diverse industry sectors has driven the company’s exponential growth to its current successful levels. His experience covers design, implementation and management of projects in General Machine Shop, Fabrication Engineering and Hydraulics. Our management team is actively involved in the design, fabrication and marketing of our products and have over 20 years accumulative experience in the industry. Our Management team is always on hand to offer expert advice and to guide customers through difficult and costly decisions when it comes to building, repairing or purchasing of earthmoving related equipment. OUR PRODUCTS & SERVICES
We design and manufacture our own Bull Dog range of Buckets, Quick Coupler Systems, Heavy Duty Forks, Rake Booms, Slab Masters and more. The MC Tyre Handler range is capable of handling any size of tyre. The Tyre Handler can be attached to a Wheel Loader, Crane and Forklift and is remote control operated, enabling the operator outside the driver’s cab, to control precise fitment of the tyre and rim onto earthmoving trucks or machines. We also manufacture Cable Reelers handling cables ranging from 95 mm³ - 120 mm³. The Cable Reeler is a fully hydraulically operated system integrated on a Wheel Loader or Wheel Dozer. The Hydraulic pressure on the Cable Reeler can be manipulated and adapted to operate in various open cast mining operations. We have a G.E.T. Store on site for own supply as well as resale of Ground Engaging Tools like Teeth, Adaptors, Side Protectors and more. We are committed to customer service and provide warranties where applicable. MACHINERY CONTRACTORS WORKSHOPS
Machine / Mechanical and Hydraulic Workshop (1 075.3 m³) Our Machine workshop is fully equipped with Lathe, Drilling and Milling Machines. A 6 and 12 Ton DEMAG Overhead Crane and Lineboring department enables us to meeting critical deadlines and reducing our customer’s downtime when it comes to urgently required fabricated components. The Machine workshop is shared by our Mechanical and Hydraulic department that offers a full field service team for assessments and repair on all hydraulic and auto-electrical components. Light Duty Workshop (1 354 m³)
Our Light Duty Fabrication Workshop caters for the manufacturing of smaller earthmoving attachments, ranging from 1 to 12 Tons. This workshop is equipped with 3 Overhead Cranes, a Spray Bay and Sandblasting Bay. Having these facilities on site enables Machinery Contractors to reduce downtime and to be more independent. Heavy Duty Workshop (1 589.90 m³)
In 2014 Machinery Contractors added a new Workshop to our facility: The Heavy Duty Fabrication Workshop. This workshop includes a 25 and 45 Ton Overhead Crane as well as a 50 Ton Tower Crane. The lift and handling ability of these units allows us to accommodate and handle larger jobs such as the manufacture and repair of water tankers ranging from 14 000L – 85 000L as well as Dump Bodies and liner packages of various manufactures. Our workshops have been fitted with 2 x Back-up Generators (300 kVA & 350 kVA) to supply our workshops with electrical power during Load Shedding thereby minimizing downtime. A Helipad with its own refueling station is available on site for visitors.
