So what we got here is a merged velocity stack with a mass flow filter for fast Banshees with big motors. Small motor setup will be coming up in the future, as well as airbox built round this intake.
Our mission consist of three things: harvest pulseback, get filter away from stingers and offcourse provide the best product we can come up with🦾🦾
Velocity stacks we have played around with dimensions until we found the sweet spot on 41pwk’s on a supercub. This setup also fits all pwk’s 36, 38 and 39mm. For the 33 and 35 pwk we will supply different carb to manifold rubbers. On the lectron side sofar we have confirmed fit on 44 and 48mm. Anybody with a 40mm can get us measurements of the intake side 🙏🏻🙏🏻
A little background on the merged design.
We provided drawings to somebody that specializes in mechanical engineering and fluid dynamics to create the merge, ran it through simulation software and made few minor tweaks.
Printed a plug on our Bambulab X1 Carbon and made a mold from the plug.
This part is not vacuum infused, it is made with 5 layers of prepreg carbon fiber with heat expanding insert to press the s**t out of the carbon, so it is forged and baked at 140 degrees C. Making it compatible with methanol. Insert broke a few molds before we got the expasion ratio correct but it pushed 30 grans of resin out of the prepreg matting.
The result is a superlight part with zero excess resin, smooth on the inside just like the outside.
The filter we used is a 4” mouth mass flow BMC fit to breathe a 6 liter V8.
We have three sets going out to builders and influencers for reviews and dynotesting. They will publish the results when they good and ready.
So we got questions for you guys:
1) Is the red filter a bit much colourwise?
2) Should we see what K&N has to offer?
3) Should we match the carb to carbon manifold rubbers colour to the filter? These rubbers we printed on the X1 as prototypes, yes they are rubber and we will be injection molding them in silicon with braid reinforcing.
4) Should we provide two options?
We had here all the leading filter brands and the BMC took first place for build quality, and then it is no secret we like red, so let us know in the comments before we place bulk orders on the filters🫡🫡🫡
Also outerwears will be available for this setup soon.
