There are currently more than 600 storm-related service requests. Energy teams have worked through the night with priority given to downed and live wires and other damaged infrastructure causing a risk to members of the public.
Rain and high wind speeds make electrical work dangerous, especially overhead aerial platform repairs.
Our City energy teams will continue to attend to the large number of requests and area outages with urgency today. Please expect a delay in restoration times due to the high volumes and extensive storm damage.
Please treat all electrical wires and infrastructure as live and dangerous.
The City apologises for the inconvenience and thanks our customers for their understanding.
Note: The list is updated as information is received. If an area isn't included, it doesn't mean teams aren't aware of it. Residents in Eskom-supply areas are encouraged to contact Eskom directly regarding their electricity faults.

Another repair..replaced solar fuses and holders due to loose connections,aswell as optimized batteries and correctly installed comms between battery and inverter

Client had his roof replaced due to bad installation from previous company..this being from a reputable solar installation company here in western cape.not only was my clients roof leaking for several years but came to realise that the mounting structure was installed incorrectly witch will cause leaks not only that but only 8 out of 16 hangerbolts where actually mounted to the beems in the roof..
We removed his panels..
He had roof replaced..
And boom got his panels mounted correctly..
My client can now live a normal life with no more hassles of water leaks and now has the piece of mind of a job well done..
