Meet Misheck — and hear his story with Viking Steel Reinforcing. 💛

He joined us in 2021, coming straight from Zimbabwe with no experience in construction. His first day on site, he didn’t even know how to hold the tools — but with patience, daily support, and guidance from the Viking team, he grew tremendously 👏🏽💪

Misheck worked hard, faced language barriers, and kept learning. Over time, he started reading drawings, keeping time, and eventually became a trusted fixer leading his own sites 😎

Today, he’s built not just a career, but a life — with a wife, a family, and 5 years of memories he proudly calls his history🫶🏻🙏🏽

He says: “This company changed my life.”
We’re so proud to have walked this journey with him — and we’re even prouder of the man he’s become. 🙏🏽

"Coming to Cape Town from Zimbabwe, I started at Viking Reinforcing as a laborer with no experience in the field. Viking offered me an incredible opportunity that transformed my life and set me on a successful path. Viking became my mentor, guiding me step by step, and today, I’m proud to say I’m a supervisor who can read and interpret structural drawings. I've gained so much knowledge and grown immensely from the ground up.
