We visited the KHI solar tower in the Northern Cape.

In Lehmans terms, how this amazing piece of engineering works is, The Solar Mirror panels optimally reflect the Suns rays on to a burner, the burner pumps liquid through the pipes creating steam, the steam rises ,powering the turbine and the turbine in turns produces over 50 megawatts of energy for the community.
The first in Africa and the first In the world to operate 24 hours a day.
