Two Artisan Workshop Projects, which were completed by Idah Construction (Pty) Ltd on behalf of Turkish Coordination and Cooperation Agency (TIKA) were officially handed over with presence of Honourable Lindiwe Zulu, South African Minister of Social Development and H.E. Ayşegül Kandaş, Ambassador of Türkiye to South Africa. Department of Social Development T.C. Pretorya Büyükelçiliği - Turkish Embassy, Pretoria

Turkish ambassador to South Africa Aysegül Kandaş with Social Development Minister Lindiwe Zulu opened two new artisan workshops in Cape Town on Thursday.

Siviwe School of Skills Construction Renovation Project, which was funded by Turkish Coordination and Cooperation Agency (TIKA), was completed by Idah Construction (Pty) Ltd. The project was completed in 3 weeks time and consists of following works and services:

Construction Renovation Project at Iconic Ottoman Heritage Site

Construction renovation project of Noor El Hamedia Mosque was completed by Idah Construction (Pty) Ltd on behalf of Turkish Coordination and Cooperation Agency (TIKA), which is a Turkish government institution. Named Nurul Hamedia (Light of Hamid) due to the contributions of Abdul Hamid II to its construction, the mosque is a two-story structure built in Cape Town in 1884 with the financial contributions of Muslims.
The project was completed in 7 days and consists of following works:

-Roof Repairs & Waterproofing

-Ceiling Repairs & Painting

-Exterior Wall Painting & Fixing

-Entrance Area Floor Fixing & Painting

- Carpentry Services for Door Fixing

- Woodwork Varnishing
