Tokeid Biotech is a food testing service geared towards detecting and identifying adulterants and/or contaminants in animal-derived products. Bursary from University of Stellenbosch for PhD study in 2018

One PhD bursary of R120 000 p.a. for the duration of PhD of three years is available for studies relating to the Halaal value chain. The successful candidate is responsible for covering the tuition fees, cost of registration, accommodation; and living expenses from the bursary award. Research funds are available to cover the running costs of the study.
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria:
• An MSc degree in Agricultural or Natural Sciences with a 60% final mark, or an equivalent qualification
• Strong academic performance record,
• Ability to work in inter, multi or transdisciplinary fields
Preference will be given to individuals who have a passion for the Halaal industry and value chain
