R0.00 net City electricity bill over 12 months!

This system in Lake Michelle, Noordhoek was installed by Altgrid Energy a year ago.

Over the last 12 months, the client has
- generated 20.69 MWh (from solar)
- consumed 10.1 MWh
- exported 12.92 MWh back to the grid
- imported only 2.45 MWh from the grid
- ended up with a net credit of R3,500 over the year and that includes the R380/month City line fees

What makes this especially interesting is that the system only has an 8 kWh battery.

It is a good reminder that you do not always need a huge battery bank to get excellent results. With the right solar design, the right usage profile and the ability to feed back into the grid, a system can perform extremely well.

This is the value of a properly designed, properly installed solar system.
