Driving Digital Innovation Through Collaboration

On the 5th of March 2026, African Ideas recently facilitated a Power Platform Strategy and Roadmap Workshop as part of an ongoing digital enablement initiative aimed at exploring how low-code technologies can support organisational innovation and service delivery.

Hosted at the Microsoft offices in Cape Town, the session brought together key technology and business stakeholders to build a shared understanding of Microsoft’s integrated technology stack and the capabilities of the Power Platform.

The workshop focused on exploring how low-code tools can help organizations modernize applications, automate processes, and accelerate the development of digital solutions, while maintaining strong governance and security.

Through interactive discussions and working sessions, participants identified practical use cases and opportunities where the platform could support immediate operational priorities and longer-term digital transformation goals.

At African Ideas, we are proud to partner with leading organizations to enable innovation, strengthen digital capability, and support the development of scalable technology strategies that deliver real impact.

The first quarter of 2025 has been an exciting ride for African Ideas — especially on the marketing and partnerships front!

🚀 In January: Devlin and Thando kicked off the year at a Microsoft event in Johannesburg, where they connected with other Microsoft Certified Solutions Partners and showcased our cutting-edge software and digital solutions.

🌍 In February: Xiyimo and Thando took our impact-driven vision to the Local Government IT Innovation Summit, where over two days, they engaged with local government stakeholders, exchanged insights, and highlighted African Ideas’ role in shaping smarter, more responsive governance. A key highlight was meeting Tim Parle, who is the Chief Director of Digital Economy and Chief Director of Energy Resilience at the Western Cape Government.

🤝 In March: Nirvesh and Thando were honoured to be hosted by Microsoft, where they met Brad Smith, Vice Chair & President of Microsoft Corporation. They presented how we leverage Microsoft’s powerful ecosystem to co-create innovative, industry-disrupting solutions with purpose and scale.

We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished — and even more excited about what we have been doing internally. Stay tuned!
