AWPower is proud to introduce the Fox ESS “BEAST” H3 Pro range to our commercial offering – a high-capacity hybrid inverter platform designed for larger commercial systems where energy demand is higher, operations are more complex, and scalability matters from the start.

Available in inverter sizes 60kW, 100kW and 125kW (up to 1.2MW in parallel) with battery sizes of 64kWh to 720kWh per inverter (up to 7.2MWh in parallel), the BEAST gives us a stronger platform to design smarter commercial systems that are now practical, scalable, and financially attractive for a far wider range of businesses.

Solar Should Be Working Harder
Your solar system should:

- Reduce your electricity bill consistently
- Reduce your electricity bill consistently
- Deliver the return you expected when you invested

If it’s not doing that, something needs attention: awpower.co.za

Your Solar System Might Be Underperforming... You Just Can’t See It Yet.👇

Your solar system is running. The lights are on. The app shows generation, but that doesn’t mean it’s performing the way it should.

Across hundreds of systems we’ve inspected, we see the same pattern:

1. Systems losing 10 - 15% of production without anyone noticing
2. Inverter settings never optimised after installation
3. Batteries operating outside ideal ranges
4. Small faults quietly reducing output

It may seem like ‘nothing dramatic’ but over time, it is a slow, steady loss of performance and that turns into thousands of rands in missed savings.

For systems not installed by AWPower, we include a detailed audit at the start - often uncovering issues the owner wasn’t aware of.

Whether you’re running a farm, managing an eco-estate, or maintaining a municipal water system, moving water takes serious power. Traditionally, that’s meant reliance on solar drives, diesel generators or high grid usage. But there’s a quieter revolution underway, and it’s solar pumping inverters with cloud-based monitoring & control.

Here’s how solar pump inverters are helping estates and agricultural operations turn their water systems from energy hogs into cost-saving assets.

Over the past few years, more businesses have approached solar with the same mindset: “We know it makes sense, we just need to do it.”

That’s understandable. Electricity costs keep climbing, grid reliability remains uncertain, and solar has become far more accessible than it was a decade ago.

But the truth is, solar isn’t a single decision. It’s a business strategy and the outcome depends heavily on how well that strategy is thought-through upfront.

Solar is a long-term investment, yes, but only if you treat it that way. After the five-year mark, it’s no longer about “going solar” but more about making sure your system works as hard as you do.

If you’re a solar owner, or planning to become one, understanding what comes next can mean the difference between exponential savings and quietly losing value from your system. This is where long-term solar ownership becomes less about installation, and more about intelligent asset management.

1MW commercial solar is now within reach!
A few years ago, systems at this scale felt out of reach for most businesses.
That has changed:
• Technology has improved
• Commercial platforms have improved
• Payback has improved

Mid- to large-scale business solar is now far more practical than most realise.

Solar panels are often advertised to last 20 to 25 years, and they do. But expecting year-one performance at year ten without intervention is like buying a vehicle and never servicing it.

Here’s what business owners need to consider:

1. System Degradation

Most panels lose 0.5% to 0.7% of their efficiency per year. That’s manageable, but only if your system is operating optimally. Dirty panels, ageing connectors, or shading that wasn’t present at install time can accelerate underperformance.

2. Component Lifespan

Inverters typically have a lifespan of 8–10 years. Batteries could also last 8 – 10 years, depending on the chemistry and use case, but some may need replacement sooner. Many businesses are unaware that component warranties and expected lifespans differ. If not budgeted for, these replacements can impact ROI.

3. Firmware & Software Updates

Modern systems come with smart inverters, cloud-based monitoring, and even grid export functionalities. However, these features need occasional firmware updates and system recalibrations to stay efficient and compliant with regulations.

4. Changing Energy Loads

Your business has probably evolved in the past five years. Maybe you added machinery, expanded working hours, or even bought an EV fleet. Is your solar system still sized correctly for your current load profile? If not, you could be losing out on performance or overpaying for peak-time usage.

Bigger business solar is no longer out of reach...

As Eskom leans more heavily on diesel, the long-term cost of electricity is becoming increasingly difficult for businesses to absorb.

That is what is changing the conversation about commercial solar.

Systems in the 60kW to 1.2 MW range are now far more practical for mid- to large-scale businesses and the payback is becoming far more attractive.

That is exactly where the Fox ESS BEAST fits.
