Peerutin Karol is a merger of two of Cape Town’s best known and award-winning architectural practices, Peerutin and Louis Karol. Peerutin was founded in 1997 by brothers Simmy and David Peerutin following several years working abroad. Louis Karol Architects was founded in 1952 by Louis Karol, and his son Eitan Karol took over the reins in 2010. Together they are responsible for such landmarks as t

he V&A Waterfront’s Victoria Wharf, Wembley Square, Sandton Convention Centre, Kloof Road House, Radisson Red (in association with Designspace Africa) and the Queen Victoria Hotel, as well as the iconic city towers Shell House (1976) and Golden Acre (1979)

The practice has a wealth of shared experience, particularly in hospitality, luxury homes, apartments and residential estates, retail, offices, as well as outsourced architectural services for architecture firms around the world. Peerutin Karol has completed and is actively working on projects across sub-Saharan Africa, including South Africa, Mauritius, Somalia, Ghana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Nigeria, Zambia and Cameroon. The practice aims to bring together a beautiful architectural design that surpasses the needs of their clients, delivered on time and on budget.
