Dampness and humidity create the perfect environment for this fungus to thrive. While bathrooms and kitchens are particularly vulnerable, other areas with these conditions can be affected too.

Consider installing a ventilation system to manage the air moisture or use a humidifier. Water leaks and excess moisture in walls are also potential causes. The affected area can be treated with a fungicide solution to remove existing mould, but the key to lasting results is to address the cause!

Treat fungus with Sabre Anti-Fungus Solution and overcoat using Sabre Satin Non-Drip, a highly-washable and smooth coating with anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties.

Is your paint looking reptilian? 🐊 You may be dealing with alligatoring.

Using a hard, rigid finish over a flexible base, the natural ageing of oil-based paints, and rushing the drying process can all contribute to this distinctive cracking pattern. What’s the solution?

Remove the damaged paint film, sand the surface to smooth base and wipe the surface clean with a damp cloth. Once completely dry, apply a primer suited to the surface. Allow the primer to dry and apply a suitable, high-quality topcoat.
