Cape Town - Sigenergy Roadshow done and dusted!

We welcomed installers, technical teams, EPC partners and industry professional alike to the ever-so-scenic Vineyard Conference centre in Newlands for an afternoon spent deep diving into the Sigenergy product offering.

AJ van Rensburg led the way with full technical session, unpacking the technologies, utility-scale solutions and the next gen SigenNeo for the residential market. While Keegan. S from Electric Assemblies shared valuable insights into power factor correction and harmonics which added more depth around power quality before installing.

Our very own Shawn adding a little colour when introducing Mark to end off the session with Vector, SIAAC’s immersive VR solution, it just never gets old watching clients experience Vector for the first time.

One client summed it up perfectly:
“It’s unreal, just be careful not to walk into the cable tray… It’s more than a sales tool, Vector is a sales-technical tool. It allows clients to see the actual room before it is built, not ‘it might look like this,’ but this is exactly how it will look.”

Last week, SIAAC and Sigenergy came together at Airborne, Emoya Estate in Bloemfontein for a focused roadshow hosted by our new Business Development Manager, Diana Strydom.

The day brought together industry professionals, and representatives from the Central University of Technology for meaningful conversations, and a closer look at the future of energy technology.

The Sigenergy training session given by AJ had the audience fully engaged, unpacking the latest technologies, utility-scale solutions, and future-focused energy products shaping the renewable sector.

The Vector VR showcase of Sigenergy added further value, giving guests the opportunity to step inside a virtual site and experience how immersive technology supports smarter planning, clearer client understanding, and more confident ex*****on on site.

We’re excited to welcome Diana Strydom to the SIAAC team as Business Development Manager for our Bloemfontein branch.

With approximately 16 years of experience in the solar industry, Diana brings a powerful mix of technical knowledge, leadership experience, and genuine passion for people and progress.

Since 2011, she has built a strong track record across the industry, from leading teams as Branch Manager to owning and growing a successful solar business. Her hands-on experience, client-first mindset, and ability to bring people together make her a fantastic addition to the SIAAC team.

Diana is known for her positive energy, team-focused leadership style, and commitment to building meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues. She believes that great results come from collaboration, consistency, and a team that moves forward together.

Outside of work, Diana enjoys crime and suspense movies and books, as well as taking time to relax and recharge.

SIAAC and K2 Systems recently hosted a select group of clients for an afternoon at Van Ryn’s Brandy Distillery; bringing together industry partners for meaningful conversation, networking, and collaboration in one of Cape Town’s most iconic tasting spaces.

We’re excited to welcome Shawn Classen to the SIAAC team as Head of Strategic Sales and Performance, based at our Cape Town HQ and overseeing all branches.

With over 30 years of management experience, including his time as a Director at K2 — Shawn brings strong leadership, strategic sales expertise, and a customer-first mindset to the SIAAC team. His experience across renewable energy, C&I, distribution, and team development makes him a strong driver of growth and performance.

Outside of work, Shawn’s hands are rarely still. Whether it’s Krav Maga training, building custom tables, or working with recycled wood, he enjoys staying disciplined, practical, and hands-on. After nearly 15 years in martial arts, his passion comes from wanting to help people protect themselves and stand stronger in difficult situations.
