Count the trip to buy supplies, the finishing work and the delivery too. Those hours are easy to overlook when you are excited about a first order.

Keep a costing record while building your sample. It will give you a firmer basis for the next quote.

Build your sample for a spot at home. Sit on it. Check the finish. Look closely at the edges and how it stands.

Keep notes on the materials, costs and time involved. You'll need them when someone asks for a quote.
