Things do not always go according to plan…..

Referrals are the most reliable form of marketing you can get. It builds trust, relationships, and future business.

Today we had an installation for a family member of a loyal client. It was out of town—we started the day at 4:00 AM. Drove 240km to pick up the team, everyone on time 🙏.

We arrived in Vanderbijlpark at 07:30. 700m from the house where we were planning to install a solar system, our vehicle's CV joint broke….. stuck!!!

Called the insurance, got the towing company (15 min—🙏 Vaal Auto Craft) on the low bed to the site 700m further. The installation is a priority… the team started with the installation.

In the meantime, I was phoning around, and with the help of the client, we got 2-3 different companies that could potentially assist to try and get the vehicle fixed so we could get back to Pretoria the same day.
Samone from QA Auto Clinic Vanderbijlpark was willing to send someone out in the early afternoon 🙏; however, we continued the search to find someone to assist immediately.

We got the number for Dylan at Autotech Sasolburg, called, and he arranged to get Brenda in the office to contact me. We arranged to get the low bed out there, collect the vehicle, and take it to Sasolburg to hopefully get it repaired the same day.In the meantime, we continued the solar installation to ensure it got done.
By 15:00, Brenda called me: "Your vehicle is ready for collection" (by that time we were pretty much done with the installation—thank you, team UGotPower (Pty) Ltd—you rock!!!). Took an Uber from Vanderbijlpark to Sasolburg, collected the vehicle, went back to site, loaded up, put on the finishing touches, and headed back to Pretoria.
Got back home at 19:00, everyone safe, installation done, vehicle fixed.

The moral of the story: no matter how good your planning or intentions are, things do go wrong. It is not what goes wrong, it is how you react…. I am by no means perfect, but today just reminded me again that by the grace of God, instead of getting stuck on the problem, find the solution.
