SA’s road freight industry is warning of possible company closures as diesel prices surge and further hikes loom. Fuel now makes up as much as 35% to 55% of operating costs, with a sharp increase already forcing operators to cut back on fuel purchases and scale down operations.

Namibia 🇳🇦 has cut fuel levies by 50% for the next three months.

The government says the move will help drivers and businesses as fuel prices rise due to the ongoing US-Israel conflict with Iran.

The temporary cut is expected to make petrol and diesel cheaper, lower transport costs, and reduce pressure on the prices of goods while global oil prices remain unstable.
