Another exciting ECWC installation at Klein Constantia Wine Estate of 300kW battery to support the 174 kW PV installation completed last year. A battery room was specially built for this installation, which will lesson their reliance on expensive diesel generators during load shedding and is in preparation for the 2024 harvest season.

Work at Thelema Mountain Vineyards is progressing on the new plinth constructed to house the containerised battery, which will be integrated with their existing PV and generator.
The decision to add batteries is consistent with Thelema's long-term environmentally friendly energy solution. The batteries will provide increased energy security, especially during the higher demand harvest period. The battery solution is a much greener option than diesel generators, which are also dependent on fluctuating fuel prices.
