Housebreaking Suspects Apprehended – Bluff
At approximately 15:00 today, Fitama Protection Services Special Operations Unit received information regarding a housebreaking that had occurred earlier that morning along Bluff Road. Intelligence indicated that the suspects intended to return to the property during the afternoon to steal additional items.
Members of the Fitama Protection Services Special Operations Unit, together with a member of the Bluff CPF, were actively patrolling the area when an alert was circulated on the Bluff RTL8 group reporting a housebreaking in progress at the same property.
Within seconds, Fitama Special Operations Unit members, assisted by Bluff CPF, arrived on scene. Upon seeing the responding members, one suspect fled through the rear of the property while the second suspect was immediately apprehended.
Members of Brighton Beach SAPS arrived within minutes and took the first suspect into custody. Fitama Protection Services Special Operations Unit then launched a search for the second suspect, who was successfully located and apprehended near a nearby shopping centre.
During the investigation, the suspects led members to a nearby informal settlement where they had sold some of the items stolen during the housebreaking earlier that morning. Efforts were made to recover the stolen property as part of the ongoing investigation.
Fitama Protection Services commends the swift response, teamwork, and cooperation between the Special Operations Unit, Bluff CPF, Bluff RTL8, Brighton Beach SAPS, which resulted in the successful apprehension of both suspects and significant progress in recovering the stolen property.
