A new chapter in renewable progress.
Meerendal Wine Estate, a family-owned vineyard in Cape Town’s Durbanville winelands, has partnered with MRE to develop a high-performance energy system designed for long-term efficiency, resilience and sustainability.
We’re excited to share the rollout of a hybrid solar and storage installation featuring:
↳ 360 kWAC inverter output powered by three Solax X3-FTH-120K inverters
↳ Canadian Solar 585 Wp modules (final kWp to be confirmed)
↳ 430 kWh of battery storage via two Solax Trene P100B215i systems, operating at 99.9% state of health during commissioning
↳ 750 kW Solax PCAB enabling automated grid/EPS operation and export control
The system is engineered to support key estate operations, optimise energy usage, and reduce reliance on the grid.
Early performance already shows stable PV generation, controlled export and successful energy arbitrage.
At MRE, every project is built around real operational needs — ensuring precision, reliability and measurable performance.
We look forward to sharing more milestones as Meerendal’s system moves toward full commissioning.
