Swan Plastics (Pty) Ltd Cato Ridge is looking for a TOOLROOM ASSISTANT to join the Cato Ridge team.
The position requires the following:
a. Experience with operating hand tools and smaller power tools. This includes correct understanding of Allen keys, spanners etc. and which sizes are appropriate for each job.
b. Ability to identify worn or damaged cape screws, nuts, bolts, and threads.
c. Understanding of and experience with moulds, including their parts (inserts, cores, cavities, mould faces etc.) is very important.
d. A responsible and careful attitude towards the job, to ensure no damage is caused to the tooling while working on it.
e. Maintaining a neat and well organised working environment;
f. Good command of English;
g. Good physical health as position requires applicant to be on their feet for majority of the shift; and
h. Reliable transportation.

Position Information:
- Standard shifts will be Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm.
- Overtime applicable as required.
- Wage to be commensurate with experience.

Swan Plastics (Pty) Ltd is looking for qualified PVC pipe Machine Operators in its Extrusion Department to join the Cato Ridge team. Operators will be responsible for inter alia operating extrusion lines, setting dies, achieving and maintaining production line requirements and overseeing machine minder staff.
The position requires the following:
1. Experience required:
a. No less than 2 years of machine operating experience in a PVC extrusion environment;
b. Management experience is a bonus.

2. Personal attributes
a. Ability to work independently;
b. Maintaining a neat and tidy working environment;
c. Ability to get the most out of supporting staff;
d. Basic maths literacy is required.

3. Other:
a. Availability to work 12 hours shifts, rotating.

Position Information:
- Standard shifts will be Monday to Friday.
- The hours are in line with applicable company shift pattern: x5 twelve-hour shifts 6am to 6pm, and 6pm to 6am. Shift will rotate one week day shift and one week night shift.
- Wage: weekly wage will be paid in accordance with the Plastic Converters Association grade rates.

Swan Plastics (Pty) Ltd is looking for a DISPATCH MANAGER to join its Prospecton operation.

Requirements for the position:
1. Candidate must have experience in warehousing, dispatch, and team management.
2. Must possess strong leadership capabilities.
3. Must be able to work under pressure.

The prospective dispatch manager will be required to perform the below tasks:
- Implement the load plan for each day in an effective manner. A large portion of this KPI will be strict oversight of staff and allocation of functions to the dispatch team.
- Oversee the storage of manufactured product within the yard and fittings warehouse. This will require yard planning and maintenance.
- Planning the travel routes and order of offload points based on the type of load and locations.
- Liaison with sales staff as required. Particularly in relation to potential reasons for delays and any stock shortages on the load planned.
- Manage our local fleet in terms of sign off of local mileage travelled, monitor GPS tracking, as well as to ensure maintenance/service schedules are followed.

The remuneration payable will be market-related and commensurate with experience of the applicant.
