Job Summary:
The Internal Sales Representative for the Western Cape Area will be responsible for managing and growing customer relationships, processing orders, and providing expert advice on pump products and solutions. This role requires a proactive approach to sales, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of pump systems and applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers through phone, email, and in-person communication.
Sales Support: Handle inquiries, provide product information, and offer technical advice to customers regarding pump systems, parts, and services.
Order Management: Process and manage orders from inception to completion, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
Quotation Preparation: Prepare and send quotations to customers, follow up on quotations, and negotiate pricing and terms as needed.
Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of pump products, services, and industry trends to effectively address customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
Sales Targets: Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall sales strategy and goals of the company.
Collaboration: Work closely with the external sales team, technical support, and other departments to ensure seamless customer service and satisfaction.
Reporting: Prepare and maintain sales reports, track performance metrics, and provide feedback on market trends and customer preferences.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales or customer service, preferably within the pump or industrial equipment sector.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of pump systems, applications, and related components.
Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
Attributes: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
