Engineering warmth, dignity, and hope! ❄️❤️

Through the SAICE Durban Branch Winter Warmth Blanket Drive 2026, over 230 blankets were collected and donated to organizations making a real difference in our community:
📍 Friends of Grey’s NICU
📍 Childline KZN
📍 Jump Youth Mission
📍 St Thomas Children’s Home
As the SAICE UKZN Student Chapter, we were honored to roll up our sleeves and assist on the ground with collecting and distributing blankets at Friends of Grey’s NICU and Childline KZN.
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to sharing the warmth this winter! 🧣✨

Building Bridges, Building Futures! 🌉✨
The SAICE UKZN Student Chapter was proud to participate as an exhibitor at the 35th SAICE Durban Bridge Building Competition & Career Expo 2026 at Durban High School! 🎓🏗️

It was an incredible day engaging with the next generation of bright young minds, showcasing civil engineering pathways, and watching high school learners test their engineering creativity and bridge builds under pressure.

It was a pleasure meeting all the Exhibitors. A big thank you to SAICE Durban Branch and sponsor Kufanikiwa Consulting for putting together such a high-impact event for Durban’s future STEM leaders! 🚀

Let’s start this semester off with an act of kindness✨

We invite students and staff to support our blanket drive by donating gently used or new blankets to those in need.

Every donation can provide someone with warmth and comfort this winter. Together, we can make a meaningful difference this winter.

📍Drop off location: Durban Centenary Building Entrance (Civil Building near Gate 1)
🗓️Collection period: Monday 20th July& Tuesday 21st July, 8am to 2pm
