Main Bedroom & En-Suite Goals | Modern, stylish, and perfectly functional! ✨

Reno Construction is proud to showcase this stunning main bedroom and en-suite at Simbithi Estate, expertly designed for style, comfort, and function.

This transformation included redirected plumbing, a false ceiling in the en-suite, and a screen wall in the main bedroom to enhance design and flow. The layout was reconfigured with a dressing room between the bedroom and en-suite, and two new aluminum windows were installed for natural light and ventilation.

The en-suite features a sleek black bath, black-trimmed shower, and a built-in niche running along the wall from bath to shower, finished with white finger tiles. The double vanity has a thick grey quartz countertop, perfectly complementing the grey wall tile. The wooden vinyl flooring adds warmth and texture, creating a modern yet cozy atmosphere.

Every detail—dark earthy tones, wood accents, white, grey, and black finishes—was carefully selected to create a contemporary, elegant sanctuary tailored for the client.

Granny Cottage Goals | Modern, stylish, and perfectly functional! ✨

We’re proud to showcase this newly built, beautifully crafted, one-bedroom granny cottage, designed for comfort, style, and function. This space is perfect for anyone seeking modern, independent living.

Inside, the open-plan kitchen and lounge features sleek white cabinetry with black handles, a white quartz countertop, and plenty of prep and storage space. The ceilings are a mono-truss roof structure with tongue-and-groove ISO board, providing perfect insulation in summer and winter, while beige walls and concrete floors complete the contemporary, welcoming look.

The bedroom includes built-in cupboards with clever dummy doors that hide the entrance to the bathroom. The bathroom features a mix of light and dark tiles, a walk-in shower, stylish vanity, and toilet, with grey tiles tying the space together and a green feature tile in the shower for a pop of color.

Outside, large concrete steps lead up to the cottage, with concrete planter boxes adding a decorative feature. The verandah opens up via stackable sliding doors, making it the perfect space for entertaining.

Outdoor Entertainment Upgrade ✨ | A fully equipped braai and pizza oven area, this project is all about function, flow, and a modern outdoor aesthetic.

For a well-known decorator in Hillcrest, we created a space designed for gathering, cooking, and entertaining. Fresh herringbone paving anchors the area and creates a seamless connection to the home, while custom counters were finished in polished, sealed concrete to expose the aggregate — a durable, modern choice that adds texture and character. Wooden slatted cupboard doors add warmth and clever storage, and the pizza oven — refinished and tiled with a crisp white mosaic — becomes the show-stopping focal point.

To frame the space, the surrounding wall was repaired, plastered, and painted in a soft, neutral tone, creating a fresh and elegant backdrop. The combination of polished concrete, warm wood, and mosaic tile creates a contemporary yet welcoming feel that ties the whole outdoor area together.

Same space, completely new purpose — an outdoor area that’s as practical as it is beautiful.

A staircase transformation that completely redefines the entrance ✨ | From tired timber to timeless tile, this one is all about strength, style, and seamless design.

The original staircase was built in exposed timber with open risers, leaving it feeling unfinished, weathered, and unsafe. It lacked warmth and didn’t complement the rest of the home’s finishes.

We reimagined the entire structure — resizing the step treads and risers to perfectly fit stone finger pavers, tiling the bottom landing for a durable and polished finish, and introducing a solid brick-and-mortar balustrade for strength and character. Each step was then finished with patterned tiles that add depth and personality, while the closed risers give the staircase a seamless, modern look.

Beyond the aesthetic transformation, this upgrade also delivers durability, safety, and a bold design statement — turning a once simple staircase into a standout feature of the home.

Same layout, completely new presence — a bold, refined staircase that now stands as a feature of the home.
