We are proud to have contributed to the successful completion of the R25.5 million upgrade of the Ceres 11kV Substation, officially opened by Witzenberg Municipality on 3 July 2026.
Representing Lombard Consulting Engineers at the event was Drikus Viviers, Head of the Electrical Department, who joined the celebration of this important milestone.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by Executive Mayor Cllr Trevor Abrahams and attended by Western Cape Minister of Local Government, Environmental Affairs and Development Planning, Anton Bredell, together with municipal leaders, project stakeholders and invited guests.
The upgraded substation is a significant investment in the region's electricity infrastructure, designed to improve network reliability, accommodate future electricity demand and strengthen the resilience of the power supply for residents, businesses and future development.
Congratulations to Witzenberg Municipality and everyone involved in bringing this important project to fruition.
