From frozen coils to reliable cooling! ❄️🔧

Our team was called out to attend to a chiller that was not cooling effectively. Upon inspection, we discovered that the evaporator coil had iced up due to a malfunctioning controller PC board, which caused the compressor to continue running even after reaching cut-out conditions.

To restore the system, we replaced the controller, fitted two new sensor probes, and repaired the leaking drain pipe. Following these repairs, the chiller was fully commissioned and is now operating efficiently as designed.

Role Description

this is a full-time on-site role for a male Assistant Technician at Rito Air Conditioning and refrigeration in Roodepoort. the assistant technician will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration system, troubleshooting issues, and performing routine inspections. additionally, the role may involve supporting senior technicians, maintaining inventory, and ensuring work areas are clean and organized.

Qualifications
✓ knowledge of HVAC systems and refrigeration technology.
✓ Experience in assistance with maintenance and repair tasks
✓ Ability to troubleshooting technical issues
✓ Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
✓ physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment
✓ Excellent communication and teamwork skills
