Duties & Responsibilities
Technical Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on infrastructure conditions, repair procedures, and long-term maintenance strategies.
Communication and Coordination: Engage with municipal stakeholders and clients to ensure project objectives are aligned and deadlines are met.
Project Management: Take on project management responsibilities, including organizing meetings, taking minutes, and communicating directly with clients.
Design Development: Contribute to the design development process for various civil engineering projects.
Client Communications: Maintain effective communication with clients, providing updates and addressing any concerns.
Quality control: Implementing of quality control plan
Desired Experience & Qualification
Education: Candidate BScEng Civil or Structural Engineering Degree or NQF Level 6 Diploma.
Professional Registration: Registration with the relevant professional council is mandatory.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on RDP housing.
Experience in infrastructure development, particularly in the context of housing or human settlements.
Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations.
Strong project management and communication skills.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in civil engineering software (e.g., Civil Designer for Microsoft Excel, and other relevant tools.) and Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work well under pressure. A natural leader with the ability to improvise and adapt to changing circumstances.
