World Environment Day 2026 focuses on climate change.

The planet doesn’t argue. It doesn’t negotiate. It sends signals—rising seas, raging wildfires, heatwaves, melting glaciers. We said 1.5°C was the limit. We are crossing it.
But listen closer now. Beneath the noise, another signal is rising. Solar panels stretch across rooftops. Wind turbines line the horizon. Cities are being redesigned for people. Forests are being replanted. Positive tipping points are taking root in every corner of the planet.

How we view our trash matters. This is the heart of , which urges us to see "opportunity" where we used to see "waste." While South Africa’s informal collectors are already doing the heavy lifting—manually recovering materials and supporting their livelihoods—much of our domestic waste is still being lost.

The problem is often a logistical disconnect. Many people want to contribute to a greener planet but don't know where their nearest drop-off point or buy-back center is located. For a recycling system to succeed, it needs more than just bins; it needs to be easy for every person to participate.

Lothlorien Recycling supports this by making it easy for the community to participate in recycling initiatives. 🌿🌍♻💚
