Celebrating the Strength, Resilience and Impact of Women

This Women's Day, Komatsu teams across South Africa came together to celebrate, support, and empower women in meaningful ways.
Our Emalahleni team hosted a Women's Health and Wellness Day, creating awareness around women's health and well-being while recognizing the unique journeys and challenges women experience throughout their lives.
At Komatsu Campus, employees combined creativity and compassion through a cake decorating activity and the collection of sanitary products, toiletries, and other essential items for donation to a home supporting abused women and children.
The celebration extended to Namakwa Sands, where the ladies enjoyed a relaxed brunch at a local café and received gifts as a token of appreciation for their valuable contributions.
Through these initiatives, we honour the remarkable women in our workplaces and communities while reinforcing our commitment to care, inclusion, and making a positive impact.
Happy Women's Day to all the women who inspire progress, drive change, and make a difference every day.

On 5 August, Komatsu proudly donated 10 wheelbarrows to each of the following schools in Limpopo:

Sibiloane Primary School
Mapila Primary School
Mmopa Primary School
Raowele Secondary School
Luxemburg Primary School

The wheelbarrows will help learners transport water from nearby boreholes, making access to this essential resource easier and more practical. By supporting schools with tools that address everyday challenges, we are helping to create safer and more sustainable learning environments for learners and their communities.

Komatsu is proud to have donated 45 bicycles and cycling hats to Grade 12 learners at Makgenene Secondary School in Mokopane, Limpopo, helping to make the journey to school safer and more accessible.
As part of the initiative, learners also received bicycle safety and riding training, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to ride safely and confidently. This initiative reflects Komatsu's commitment to creating sustainable opportunities for young people and investing in the communities where we operate.
