Creating opportunity through inclusive education
At Komatsu, we recognise that meaningful progress begins with access to opportunity.
Our recent handover of Braille notetakers to Sibonile School for the Visually Impaired and Blind reflects a focused commitment to supporting inclusive, future-ready education. By introducing assistive ICT technology into the learning environment, we are helping to remove barriers and enable learners to participate more fully in a digital world.
This initiative is grounded in our belief that sustainable impact lies in empowerment through knowledge. When learners are equipped with the right tools, they gain not only academic capability, but also the confidence to pursue further education, meaningful careers, and independent futures.
Through deliberate investment in communities, Komatsu continues to contribute to long-term social and economic development — creating value that extends beyond our operations.
Because inclusion is not an initiative. It is a responsibility.
Thank you to Sibonile School for this video.

What happens when future engineers step inside a working manufacturing facility?
Students from the Komatsu Williams Engineering Academy recently visited our Komatsu UK plant in County Durham for a day of tours, hands-on demonstrations and conversations with our engineers.
For many, it was their first time seeing large-scale manufacturing up close, and even trying out an excavator.
Experiences like these help students see how engineering careers can be creative, collaborative and impactful.
