We have now closed another edition of AOG, marked by productive discussions, knowledge sharing, networking and new opportunities, bringing together the people and companies helping shape the future of Angola’s oil and gas industry.

The Angola Oil & Gas 2026 Conference officially commenced today at the Centro de Convenções de Talatona in Luanda!

The morning brought together government leaders, policymakers, project developers, investors, operators and industry leaders to engage in high-level dialogue, strategic insight and exclusive networking.

The main conference program featured opening remarks from NJ Ayuk, Executive chairman of the African Energy Chamber and a powerful cultural performance setting the stage for an inspirational day of discussion towards advancving angola’s oil and gas future

Keynote addresses from senior executives included:

Yesterday, we hosted Liberia Investor Day Houston, bringing together LPRA leadership, international operators, investors, geoscience experts and industry stakeholders for a focused dialogue on the opportunities shaping Liberia’s evolving upstream sector.

Hosted by the Liberia Petroleum Regulatory Authority (LPRA) in partnership with Energy Capital & Power, the event provided a platform for strategic conversations around Liberia’s next offshore licensing round, exploration potential, investment opportunities and the country’s upstream development roadmap.

The event featured insights from Hon. Marilyn Logan, General Director, LPRA; Hon. Isaac E. Taggart, Jr., Special Envoy for U.S. Trade & Investments, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Liberia.

Liberia will launch its 2026 offshore licensing round in Q4, backed by expanded seismic data, technical studies and regulatory reforms.

Liberia will launch its 2026 direct negotiation offshore licensing round in the fourth quarter of 2026, with the Liberia Petroleum Regulatory Authority (LPRA) using a Houston investor event to outline acreage opportunities, regulatory terms and data supporting the next exploration cycle.

The strategy was presented on August 19 in Houston during Liberia Investor Day, organized in partnership with Energy Capital & Power, where LPRA Director General Marilyn Logan outlined the authority’s mandate, licensing framework and approach to attracting companies with different levels of tactical readiness.

For decades, “frontier basin” has been synonymous with uncertainty. Investors have typically associated frontier exploration with limited geological data, unclear regulatory frameworks, speculative acreage allocation and elevated commercial risk. That perception no longer accurately reflects Liberia.

Last week, the Venezuela Energy Week: London Showcase brought together leading industry executives, investors, policymakers and international companies for a high-level dialogue on the opportunities shaping Venezuela's evolving energy sector ahead of VEW 2026 in Caracas this October.

The exclusive showcase provided a platform for strategic discussions on investment, collaboration and the policies driving the country's next phase of energy
development.

The program featured opening remarks by NJ Ayuk, Executive Chairman of the African Energy Chamber, followed by insights from Carlos Bellorin, Executive Vice President, Macro Analysis at Welligence Energy Analytics; Juan Carlos Andrade, CEO of Araya Energy Group and Director and Legal Counsel of the Venezuelan Petroleum Chamber; Jean-Philippe Rossi, Executive Vice President at Geoex MCG; and Greig Gilbert, Chief Executive Officer of Apertura Energy PLC.
