EPA Method 5 Emission Monitoring — Here's What We Do On-Site
When we arrive at a facility for stack testing, we're measuring particulate matter — the tiny solid and liquid particles released from industrial exhausts into the atmosphere.
Using EPA Method 5, our team inserts a calibrated sampling probe directly into the stack, drawing gas through the system isokinetically — matching the exact flow speed of the stack gas to ensure an accurate, representative sample. Particulates are captured on a filter while gas flow, temperature, and moisture are carefully recorded across multiple points in the stack.
Why does it matter? Particulate emissions are a major contributor to air pollution with serious impacts on human health and the environment. EPA Method 5 testing ensures facilities stay within their permitted emission limits — protecting surrounding communities and giving operators the verified data they need to manage their processes responsibly.
Clean air starts with accurate measurement.
