Providing electricity to 1 billion people in Africa

04/02/2026

Africa’s energy future will not be built by waiting for the grid to catch up. It will be built by re-imagining how power is generated, distributed, and owned.

On Channel Africa, Tabi T. Tabi unpacks why decentralised energy systems, from microgrids to distributed solar, are not just an alternative but a necessity for the continent’s growth. He speaks to the realities on the ground, the opportunities for local economies, and why Africa has a unique chance to leapfrog outdated energy models.

South Africa’s energy future is being redefined , and the private sector is stepping up.

We are proud to be featured in IOL, highlighting how our community-first microgrid model is setting a new standard for scalable, inclusive energy across Africa.

From Orange Farm to the national grid, our mission is clear:

✅Build energy systems that are decentralised, locally empowered, and designed for dignity.

As Minister Ramokgopa calls for greater private sector collaboration, we’re ready to lead, not just with infrastructure, but with impact.
