A joyful morning of community and generosity!
For the third year running, Beckhoff Automation (Pty) Ltd has supported the Soul2Sole initiative through the Blue Sky Society Trust, helping children in rural communities head to school with confidence and dignity.
This was our first Soul 2 Sole project for 2026. We reached 161 learners at Vezukukhanya Primary School, each receiving a brand new school uniform and a pair of shoes. The excitement on the children’s faces said everything. Something as simple as a new uniform can make a world of difference to a child walking into the classroom.
Each learner also received a copy of our Wonderful Wildlife conservation booklets. Sharing stories about nature and wildlife is one of the many ways we hope to inspire a new generation of conservation champions.
The morning didn’t stop there.
In partnership with Zululand Conservation Trust and guided by Siya Ngcobo, learners also took part in a tree-planting activity, focused on conservation awareness and the importance of trees.
Together we planted:
🍊 5 Orange trees
🌿 5 Papaya trees
🌳 4 Natal Mahogany shade trees
The shoes were handed out in reusable blue string bags kindly provided by VIROBAG, made from recycled plastic bottles. A small but meaningful reminder that caring for communities and caring for the environment can go hand in hand.
