The role covers new business development and after-sales support, working with contractors, facilities managers, fleet operators and end users from the first enquiry through to quotation, order and follow-up.

The role and requirements:

• 3 to 5 years of proven B2B and B2C sales experience, with strong communication and negotiation skills
• Good command of the Microsoft Office Suite
• A valid South African driver’s licence and willingness to travel
• Exposure to the power generation, electrical or engineering sector is advantageous
• Promote and sell SSPD’s range of generators, alternators, batteries, EV charging solutions, filtration products, tools and spares

Efficiency is engineered into the Mecc Alte PMG range at the design stage, and the range has now been extended.

Compared with a traditional AC system, the PMG is smaller and more compact. Its high power density reduces weight for both the alternator and the engine, and removing the traditional excitation winding improves system reliability. Efficiency ranges from 80% to 94%, depending on the model.

Speeds other than synchronous can be selected to optimise engine power, fuel consumption and voltage output. In variable speed applications, the PMG output voltage remains stable across the load range and the full kW rating is available for use.

For manufacturers and system designers, Mecc Alte also offers the Hybrid ONE, a complete kit of PMG alternator, hybrid controller, battery charger and governor.

Not every Data Centre battery room holds a stable temperature. Site conditions, location, and cooling limitations can all push battery room temperatures above the controlled ideal, and that is exactly where standard batteries lose service life fastest.

Fiamm's FHT² AGM range is built for this scenario. It is designed to deliver full service life at 35°C, making it suited to data centres in remote locations or environments where temperature control is harder to guarantee. The range also withstands frequent charge and discharge cycles, supporting peak-shaving and fast-frequency grid response without compromising backup reliability.
