The 2026 International Engineering Alliance (IEA) Meetings are officially underway in Cape Town, South Africa.

Hosted by ECSA, the week began with the IEA Newcomers Working Group, welcoming first-time delegates and introducing them to the role of the International Engineering Alliance in advancing global engineering standards, education, professional competence, and international collaboration.

To kick off the week, delegates from around the world were welcomed at a special reception featuring South African cultural performances and a braai-style dinner.

We are proud to showcase South African hospitality while facilitating important conversations that contribute to the future of engineering across the globe.
