Loft conversion

Hyde Park



Our client needed a recreational space for her growing children. In order to accommodate their needs without compromising her own recreational space, she decided to reclaim roof space and convert it into a lounge and activity area for the children.



The staircase and access was quite a challenge. We solved this by using our “Spacesaver” staircase and designing a suspended winder and landing to allow for sufficient head height.



As always, Velux windows provide the necessary natural light.

Loft conversion – Pretoria East

Our client had a large roof and a need for extra space in the boys’ bedrooms as well as an area for home schooling.
The roof was converted and a structural floor and finished floor installed which included removal of the extra bedroom ceilings and the construction of mezzanine floors with balustrades and “spacesaver” staircases in these rooms.
The balance of the space comprised a regular loft build with main staircase, bathroom, a large open plan area, dry walling and insulated ceilings, and the installation of Velux roof windows and new fixed casements to the gable end.
A very interesting project in that it features almost all of our product categories in one build.
