ACS Labs is headed by Dave Harvey who has over 30 years experience in analytical chemistry, laboratory management, technical services and laboratory design projects. Our technical support specialises in data management systems in metallurgical accounting, sampling and laboratory data management systems. ACS Labs is also able to call on a number of associates to provide assistance when required. AC

ACS Labs has been involved in numerous projects throughout sub-Saharan Africa across a broad spectrum of minerals and metals:

Laboratory design, installation, upgrades, operation and audits. Metallurgical accounting systems and sampling audits. Copper, nickel, gold, zinc, iron ore. South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Angola, and The DRC. The team's core competencies are in the areas of laboratory design, laboratory systems, sampling and metal accounting within the mining and process industry. The expertise includes, amongst others, project management, design and procurement, equipment evaluation and selection, consultation, project execution and laboratory operation in Southern Africa. The team has experience and expertise in various commodities, including, but not limited to Copper, Cobalt, Nickel, Gold, PGM's, Coal, Iron ore and Zinc, across various countries in Southern Africa (e.g. RSA, DRC, Zambia, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Angola and Botswana). These sequence of photos were taken during a sampling audit of a Copper operation in the DRC. The sampler was unaware that he was being photographed but the upshot is that he took a couple of scoops out of the drum before tipping the remainder of the sample onto the floor. No wonder their results did not make sense.

AuNiCu Laboratory Consulting is pleased to announce the formation of a joint venture (JV) with Effective Laboratory Supplies (Pty) Ltd (ELS) to become a One Stop solution provider for all aspects of analytical laboratory projects. The JV will be able to provide a service through the various stages from concept, studies, design, supply, installation, commissioning and operation.

With the experience that Dave Harvey brings from his time spent in the mining industry coupled to the equipment supply potential of ELS both companies believe that they have the potential to deliver projects that meet customer requirements, are cost effective, and on time.

Both parties are excited by the challenges that lay ahead and look forward to a fruitful partnership.

It should be noted that both companies will continue to operate independently on core business not covered by the JV.
