Concrete spalling on silos can become a major safety and operational risk if ignored.

Crack and spalling repairs are often expensive — especially on silos where access is difficult. That’s why our in-house rope access capabilities allow us to carry out these repairs safely and at significantly lower costs compared to cranes, cherry pickers, or swing scaffolding.

On this project, the crack was opened using diamond blades, all loose material was removed, and the exposed reinforcement steel was wire brushed and treated to stop further corrosion. A non-slump, non-shrink repair mortar was then applied, followed by a clear protective coating to prevent future water ingress.
