This Mandela Day, we chose to celebrate not only the animals, but the incredible people who dedicate their lives to caring for them.

The Spec-Con Engineering team had the privilege of spending the morning with the wonderful team at Highveld Horse Care Unit.

While many generous donations focus on the horses and donkeys in their care, we wanted to recognise the dedicated staff who work tirelessly behind the scenes every day.

As a small token of our appreciation, we delivered essential items and individual goody bags for each of their 24 staff members.

Hearing their stories, learning about the challenges they face, and witnessing the incredible bond they share with the animals was truly inspiring.

With around 30 horses and donkeys in their care (including some adorable babies) it was clear that every animal is treated with genuine love, compassion, and dedication.

Thank you to the entire Highveld Horse Care Unit team for the remarkable work you do. We couldn't have imagined a more meaningful way to spend our Mandela Day.

Wishing our Director Laurence a very Happy Birthday!
