Project Review – Sesheng Artificial Soccer Field

We are proud to reflect on the successful delivery of the Sesheng Artificial Soccer Field — a modern sporting facility that significantly enhances recreational infrastructure within the community.

Strategically located within the Sesheng residential area, the facility provides a full-size, high-quality artificial turf pitch that ensures accessibility, durability, and year-round playability. The use of artificial turf is particularly well-suited to the arid regional conditions, reducing water dependency while supporting consistent usage and lower long-term maintenance requirements.

The completed field is fully lined and equipped, creating an immediately functional space for football development, community engagement, and organised sporting activities. The transformation of the site, as seen in the photos, highlights the progression from a prepared platform to a completed, high-performance playing surface ready for use.

We trust that local clubs and footballers will enjoy the facility and that it will contribute to the continued growth and development of the sporting code within the community.

Projects of this nature deliver meaningful impact — providing safe, accessible environments that promote active lifestyles, support youth development, and strengthen community cohesion.

The facility also presents opportunities for future enhancements, including lighting, spectator areas, and additional supporting infrastructure, allowing for phased growth as the facility continues to serve the community.

Project Reflection: Maikaelelo Primary School Ablution Facility

We are proud to reflect on the successful completion of the ablution facility at Maikaelelo Primary School, based in the Magojaneng Community, Kuruman — a project that delivers essential infrastructure to support a safe and dignified learning environment.

Access to clean, functional sanitation facilities plays a critical role in promoting health, hygiene, and overall well-being for learners and staff. This project contributes directly to improving daily conditions at the school while supporting a more conducive environment for education.

From planning through to construction, the focus remained on quality, durability, and compliance with required standards. The completed facility provides a reliable and sustainable solution that will serve the school community for years to come.

The progress of the project — from initial groundwork to final finishes — highlights the importance of structured delivery and collaboration between all stakeholders involved. The transformation captured throughout the process reflects the value of investing in practical infrastructure that meets real community needs.

Projects of this nature reinforce the impact that well-executed development can have on communities, particularly in supporting education and creating environments where learners can thrive.

Project Reflection - Sishen Intermediate School ECD Play Area

We are proud to share the successful completion of the Play Area at the Sishen Intermediate School Early Childhood Development Centre — a project focused on creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for young learners.

From initial planning through to final delivery, this project was driven by a clear objective: to provide a space where children can learn, play, and develop essential motor and social skills in a secure setting. The completed play area now offers a vibrant and functional environment that supports early childhood development in a meaningful way.

Throughout the construction process, careful attention was given to quality, safety, and durability. The progression of the project — from site preparation to the installation of play equipment and finishing works — reflects a well-coordinated effort by all stakeholders involved.

You’ll see in the photos how the space transformed over time — from an undeveloped area into a fully equipped play facility. The before, during, and after visuals highlight not only the construction journey but also the impact of the final outcome.

Most importantly, this project goes beyond infrastructure. It contributes directly to the well-being and development of the children in the Sishen community, providing them with a space that encourages activity, creativity, and growth.

A great example of how thoughtful development can create lasting community value.

Project Reflection – Mapoteng Combi Courts, Kathu

We are proud to reflect on the completion of the Mapoteng Combi Courts project in Kathu, Northern Cape — a vibrant recreational space designed to bring the community together through sport.

The facility includes a Mini Soccer Field and a Netball/Basketball combination court, providing a versatile sporting environment where youth and community members can participate in multiple activities within a single, well-designed space.

Projects like this go far beyond physical infrastructure. They create safe, accessible places where young people can play, develop their skills, and build healthy lifestyles. Sporting facilities within communities contribute to social cohesion, youth development, and opportunities for positive engagement.

Our Quantity Surveying team played a key role in supporting the delivery of this project through effective cost management, procurement oversight, and contract administration, ensuring the project was delivered efficiently while maintaining quality and value.

Looking back at the construction progress photos, it is rewarding to see the transformation of the space — from the early groundwork and court preparation, through the construction phase, and finally to the completed courts ready for use by the community. These images capture the journey of the project and highlight the teamwork and dedication involved in bringing the facility to life.

It is especially meaningful to see a project evolve from concept to completion and ultimately become a space where the community can gather, play, and grow together.

Project Reflection – Mapoteng Internal Roads, Kathu, Northern Cape

We are proud to reflect on the successful completion of the Mapoteng Internal Roads project in Kathu, Northern Cape.

This infrastructure upgrade goes beyond improved road surfaces — it enhances daily mobility, strengthens access to homes and services, and contributes to safer pedestrian and vehicle movement within the community. Reliable internal road networks are fundamental to supporting residential growth, emergency access, refuse collection, and long-term municipal sustainability.

Improved roads also have a meaningful social impact. They support local economic activity, reduce vehicle wear and transport costs for residents, and create a more dignified and functional living environment. Infrastructure of this nature plays a direct role in uplifting communities and enabling development.

Throughout the project lifecycle, our Quantity Surveying team focused on disciplined cost management, contractual oversight, and value optimisation to ensure delivery aligned with budget, quality standards, and programme objectives.

Proud to reflect on the projects delivered in 2025 by our Quantity Surveying team.

One of the notable projects completed during the year was the implementation of solar installations across Anglo American farms at Tamaga, Wolhaarkop, and Kameelhoek. These installations enhance energy resilience, support operational efficiency, and contribute to long-term sustainability.

Delivering renewable energy infrastructure in collaboration with stakeholders and contractors highlights the value of practical, future-focused investment.
