EMalahleni Local Municipality to submit their documents to be considered in the pre-selection process for consideration for the Overburden contractor mining opportunity.

Scope of Work
• Contractor must supply resources (Equipment & People) adequate to move
36 Mt of Overburden (Softs & Hards) over a period of 12 months.

The role:

Directs and coordinates the activities of employees engaged in performing a variety of production operations aimed at achieving planned production targets. Ensures the effective use of available resources in a safe and sustainable manner.

The duties will include but are not limited to:

Oversees the production process and assists with drawing up of production plan for his area of responsibility

Monitors the production process and key short- term milestones in line with set targets

The role:

Maintenance and repair of equipment and machines to ensure the availability & reliability thereof

Requirements:

Recognised Boilermaker Trade Test Certificate

N3 = NQF Level 4
Grade 12 / Matric = NQF level 4
Recognised Gas Testing and Gas Safety Training
Have sound knowledge of MHSA, safety systems and a high regard for safety, regulations, and standards
Proven excellent safety record
Display good understanding of equipment and tools and uses thereof
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to speak, read and write in English
Be able to cope effectively with pressure in a production environment, be innovative and a self-starter

Valid K53 driver’s license with own transport

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a maintenance environment and fault finding on machines
