Production & Maintenance Operator

Platinum Blac is an international mining and materials processing company operating modern processing facilities and supplying industrial markets globally.
We are looking for a practical, hands-on Production & Maintenance Operator to support our daily operations at our processing site in Anchorville.
This role is suited for someone with good mechanical sense who is comfortable working with machinery, tools, and production equipment. The position combines production work with basic equipment maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
We are looking for a reliable in-house technician who can perform quick fixes, routine maintenance, and assist with production equipment, while preparing machines for repair when external specialists are required.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with daily production operations and processing activities.
• Prepare raw materials and products for processing according to operational procedures.
• Operate processing machines and workshop equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform basic repairs and quick fixes to keep equipment operational.
• Carry out basic electrical connections, wiring checks, and troubleshooting where needed.
• Perform mechanical adjustments, lubrication, and simple maintenance on machinery.
• Assist with maintenance of forklifts, loaders, vehicles, or site equipment when required.
• Identify equipment problems early and report larger technical issues.
• Prepare machines and work areas for servicing by external technicians or specialists.
• Maintain clean and safe working conditions in the production and workshop areas.
Requirements
• Practical experience working with machinery, tools, vehicles, or industrial equipment.
• Background in workshops, mechanical work, plant operations, mining support, or farm machinery is highly valued.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems or electrical wiring is an advantage.
• Ability to operate production or processing equipment after training.
• Comfortable working in a production or industrial environment.
• Physically fit and willing to work hands-on with equipment and materials.
• Reliable and responsible with a strong work ethic.
• Valid driver’s licence is an advantage.
