Project Name: Construction of Ward 19 Community Hall

Project Duration: 6 months

Client: IHLM Official

Project Status: In progress(busy with finishings)

Scope:
● Construction of new community hall
● Construction of ablution facilities
● Fencing

They gave us the site in July and said they want it back in 6 months. We boldly said, we'll give it back in 4. We will be giving it back at the end of this month. Indeed 4 months later.

This has been a personal one for us. We owed this community(story for another day).

We will always be grateful for the opportunities given. We always give that one important promise, to always do better next time. We celebrate the littlest wins.

1. Sanitation Facilities at Wongalethu Primary School, and
2. Sanitation Facilities at Dyantyi Primary School. Both in Centane, EC.

Client: Department of Basic Education

Implementing Agent: The Mvula Trust

Principal Agent: Qaphela Quantity Surveyors

Contractor: Zeezee Khula Trading - Pty Ltd

Progress to date: Practical Completion Stage

These two by far has to be the most challenging projects we have ever got to do. Not necessarily complex projects but with so many challenges. From very crazy summer rains, collapsing pits from time to time, to pits completely submerging, to water sippages, to changes in designs, etc. The fights with the Client. Threats for termination. Exchange of contractual letters. We had to be on top of our game where contract management is concerned.

We took very good lessons as we strive to improve. We soldier on with our heads high. Our promise remains one, to do better next time. The clieint's needs remain our priority.

We were registered in 2014, which makes us 9 this year. We started operating in 2015, which means we are 8 years in the field. We are operating in a very volatile and unpredictable space but we are still standing through dedication and hard work.

We remain resilient albeit many challenges in the space we are operating in. We remain standing albeit the very unstable economy of our country. We have survived although not fully recoverd from the challenges presented by the pandemic of Covid 19.

We currently have a staff contingent of more than 75 in our payroll. Of cause most of them are temporary workers, however we are grateful of the little impact we have on their lives and their family's lives.

A word of Gratitude to all our Clients. We are grateful for the opportunities presented to us however big or small, we take it seriously. We are Zeezee Khula Trading - Pty Ltd ,your needs remain our priority.

Our industry is patriarchal in nature. It is not very accommodating to the feminine gender. We must celebrate and support the women who make strides to make an indelible mark in the industry without taking any short cuts.

May you grow to greater heights Yenkosi Construction. May you draw inspiration from the late Dr Thandi Ndlovu of Motheo Construction Group. (May her soul rest in eternal peace). She might be gone but her work is still for everyone to see.

Rise up and shine Ms Zinzisa Kaptein. The sky is the limit.
