Heard of tap dancing? The FIREFLY Eco team recently completed what we called a "battery dance".

One of our great customers asked us to add 4 new Shoto 5.12KWh Lithium batteries to his homes Solar system, collect 2 additional new batteries from his other site 120km away, which are virtually new, and install his original 4 batteries at site 2. All in cabinets of course!

All on a Saturday, which we gladly did. End result, the home system now has 6 batteries and site 2 has 4. Ample power at both sites to run off grid.

Of course it was smiles all round.

FIREFLY Eco ended the month with a wonderful installation taking a farm totally off grid. The wonderful owners smiles said it all!

The solar system, consisting of a 16kw Deye inverter, 2 x 14.3KWh Dyness Power Brick lithium batteries and 21 x 550w bifacial Canadian Solar panels is a quality combination.

In addition we replaced all the downlights with LED's and brought the house wiring up to spec.

This past week FIREFLY Eco generated not only our customary Smiles, but also Solar energy.

Really wonderful Customers trusted us to install a premium-quality Solar System. The new system will not only carry them through load shedding with ease, but will also slash their monthly electricity bill.

Top-class Sunsynk products were the products of choice for this installation. Consisting of an 8kw Inverter, 2 x 5.3kwh lithium batteries, and 16 x 550w Topsolar solar panels.

FIREFLY Eco squeezed one last smile into 2024 with a solar panel upgrade for a wonderful Customer.

We replaced 3 baby 180w solar panels with 4 x 550w Topsolar mono solar panels, enabling the underperforming solar system to come into its own.

FIREFLY Eco kept the Christmas spirit going strongly at yesterdays Solar installation, the second last of 2024.

Congratulations to a wonderful Customer who trusted us with your Solar system!

The system is a carbon copy of the neighbours, consisting of 6 x 550w Solar Panels, 5kw S2 Inverter and a 5.12kwh Solid state Uhome lithium battery.

🎄The Christmas spirit is well and truly upon us at FIREFLY Eco, and we are keeping busy with solar installations well into the festive season.

Today, we installed a 5kw S2 inverter, a 5.12kwh Uhome solid-state (watch this space) battery, and 6 x 550w solar panels to assist a valued customer experiencing extended power failures over the past few years.

Smiles were the order of the day when the system went live!

Solar installations have a unique way of bringing like-minded people together. Not only were today's Customers wonderful but they also brought an unusual opportunity to us at FIREFLY Eco.

Today's fun task was to install a pre-bought solar system into a caravan!

Besides the usual eskom feed into the caravan, we integrated the solar powered feed for the 'staan plekke waar jy ekstra vir krag moet betaal".

Installed was a 430w solar panel, on a curved roof, including anti-theft clips and end clamps which hold the panel down securely while travelling at caravan speeds.

Careful attention was paid to avoid drilling into any potential leak-prone areas on the canopy.

2 x 112Ah lithium batteries provide the backup power linked to a 30A charge controller, wall mounted along with various outlet plug sockets for various applications.

The caravan self-drive/parking system was also linked to the solar which is really something to see in action!

Congrats to Mr G for achieving your long-planned goal, just in time for the holiday season.

Of course, the Customer's Smiles were abundant when the first lights were turned on.

When wonderful Customers recently asked if the FIREFLY Eco team could erect a new fence for them, we seized the opportunity.

As you know, Solar Installations are our specialty, but we have a few other talents too. ☺️

It was Happy Smiles all around once the job was completed, which is always our ultimate prize.
