Built, engineered, integrated and tested in-house, Sub 1111 showcases PPE Technologies’ ability to deliver complex electrical infrastructure as a complete, factory-built solution.

At 18 m × 4.87 m × 3.41 m and weighing 41 tons, the modular substation integrates ABB UniSafe MV switchgear, lighting and small power, fire and gas systems, UPS and battery charger systems, PLC engineering, and outdoor transformers into one fully tested solution.

By taking a modular approach, PPE Technologies reduced on-site construction, improved safety, minimised project risk and accelerated commissioning.

And this is only the beginning...

Keep an eye on our page as we take you behind the scenes of what went into Sub 1111 - and give you a closer look at what to expect from our next big move: Sub 8.

We believe Sub 8 could be one of the largest E-Houses ever manufactured in Southern Africa - possibly even the largest. We’d love to substantiate that claim, but for now, we simply don’t have a way to prove it!

We were proud to be part of the Women in Engineering Career Day on the 22nd of May, at Hoërskool Nelspruit, hosted by the South African Council for Business Women (SA Council for Business Women National) Nelspruit Sisterhood.

Representing Power Plant Electrical Technologies were two of our talented engineers:

Reinette Schultz – (Design Engineer) is responsible for developing and designing engineering solutions, turning technical concepts into practical, reliable systems that meet our clients' needs.

Yolandi Bezuidenhout – (Civil/Structural Engineer) specialises in the planning and structural design of engineering projects, ensuring that every solution is safe, efficient, and built on a solid foundation.

Together, they shared their experiences in the engineering field, answered questions, and encouraged young women to pursue careers in STEM and engineering with confidence.

Investing in the next generation means sharing knowledge, opening doors, and proving that engineering is a career where women can thrive and lead. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited our stand and made the day such a meaningful experience.
