WINTER IRRIGATION TIP: Mind Your Pressure, Manage Your Flow ❄️📊

During the cooler winter months, evaporation rates drop significantly. While it's a common practice to adjust irrigation run times down, it's equally crucial to monitor system pressure.
Over-pressurizing your lines during shorter, high-intensity cycles can lead to unnecessary pipe friction, micro-leaks, and increased wear on your pump's impellers.

The Tip: Use your Variable Speed Drive (VSD) to drop the system operating pressure slightly to match the lower volumetric demand. Lowering your frequency by just a few Hz can drastically reduce your electricity consumption while safely maintaining optimal soil moisture.

Precision control means protecting your infrastructure while lowering your input costs. ⚙️💧

VSD STARTER SPECS: Built-In Protection (Part 2) ⚙️🛡️

Advanced motor protection shouldn't be an optional add-on. That’s why our VSD starters come standard with industry-leading safeguards to protect your equipment and your wallet.

🔹 Dry Pump Protection
Running a pump dry can cause catastrophic mechanical damage. During commissioning, our engineers map your pump's baseline current with a closed inlet valve. We configure the dry-run protection at that baseline current plus 5% with a tailored 0–60 second delay. If an under-current condition is detected past this window, the system safely shuts down and logs an "UNDER CURRENT" alert in the history table.

🔹 Precision Current Limiting
Overloading a motor ruins its lifespan. We set a strict current limit equal to your motor’s exact full-load capacity. This ensures the VSD output never exceeds safe parameters, giving you pinpoint accuracy on motor protection.
