GX Cogen, as main project contractor, has brought new sport lighting technology to South Africa with the completion of South Africa’s first radio-frequency controlled installation of its kind at 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗴 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹, where 𝗨𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘇𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁 completed the 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀. High-powered 15 kW luminaires mounted on each pole can now be switched, dimmed and monitored remotely via a simple smartphone app that communicates over radio frequencies. This pioneering system eliminates the need for complex hard-wired controls and gives operators instant, flexible management of lighting from anywhere. The project marks a major step forward in smart school infrastructure, combining powerful illumination with cutting-edge wireless technology for greater efficiency, convenience and control.
