Our 2026 Dakar campaign is ramping up. Two WCT T1+ Amaroks for Daniel Schröder/ Henry Kohne and Jürgen Schröder/ Stuart Gregory. Jürgen’s car shipped yesterday. Daniel’s new car is in final assembly at WCT Engineering in Kyalami.

WCT T1+ Amarok for PS Laser at the final round of the W2RC. We had a quick reset after the Portuguese event and now we are ready at the Rally du Maroc.

A halfway update from Rally-Raid Portugal: Stage 1 on Tuesday cost us time with an electrical issue. Strong stage 2 but compromised by dust and a puncture due to our out of position start. Yesterday’s stage 3 was fantastic- 6th amongst the world’s best. We start today’s 4th stage heading to Lisbon sandwiched between 2 Dakar winners……

The best laid plans of mice and men….Gary and Rikus were having a great run at the superb Outeniqua 400 until 11km into the final stage when a slight deviation from the route led to the left rear corner parting ways with their Hilux. Meantime in Portugal our WCT Amarok came off second best in a contest with the local flora. A huge thanks to Scott and South Racing for welcoming us to their workshops to effect a fix.

It’s a Rally-Raid double header weekend for WCT Engineering. We are running Gary Bertholdt and Rikus Fourie at the Outeniqua 400. Achim, Justin and Dylan leave for Portugal tonight for the penultimate W2RC event of 2025 with the PS Laser WCT Ultimate class Amarok of Daniel Schröder and Henry Köhne. We’ll keep you updated on both events.
